How to Register

If your child requires 1:1 Integration Support, please review the Assistance Options below before continuing with registration.

If you are receiving Government Child Care Subsidy, please review the Assistance Options below before continuing with registration.

If you require, or are interested to see if you qualify for, Financial Assistance please review the Assistance Options below before continuing with registration.

  1. Scroll down the Guide to your program.
    Click Register.
You must register for your program first, before registering for any add-ons (bussing, extended hours, if applicable).
You will be redirected from the Y Guide to My Y, YMCA of Greater Toronto's account membership and program registration tool. You can pay online and registration will be immediate.

  2. Once in My Y, review program, and select Enrol Now.
If the program you wish to register for is full, you will be invited to join the waitlist.

  3. If you are not currently signed into My Y, you will asked to sign in at this time.
If you are a current or recent YMCA child care family, member, or participant, you already have a My Y account.
New to the Y? Create an account to register, and review the  My Y FAQ.

  4. Once signed in, you will be asked to select the participant you wish to register in the program.

  5. After all Enrolment Details are populated, click Add to Cart. At this time, you can Check Out. Or, you can continue adding programs to your cart and then check out all at once.

  6. To continue adding programs to your cart, come back to this Guide. Find your next program (or add-on) to register for, and click Register.

Repeat steps 2-6 to register for each program.

  7. Once you have added all the programs you want to register for to your cart, select Check Out and continue to payment.

Tips:

  1. Register for your program first, and then add-ons if applicable: bussing second and then extended hours.

  2. If you are registering the same participant for multiple programs, complete the checkout process in its entirety for your first program. You can then avoid having to repeatedly populate Enrolment Details and check out faster. Once a full checkout has been completed, My Y will recall your participant’s Enrolment Details for additional programs you are registering for.

  3. Within your Guide, program numbers are listed for each item.
You can search for these numbers right within My Y or provide them to a member of our contact team, if needed.

Review the Y Guide FAQ page, if you have questions.

Y Guide FAQ

Here are some of the most commonly asked questions about the Y Guide:

Q: What is the Y Guide?

The Y Guide is a directory of all programs available for registration at the YMCA of Greater Toronto for participants 0-18 years of age, and family camp programs. There are plans to expand this directory in the future. The Guide allows you to select programs you are interested in registering for, and creating a list of Favourite Items. When you are ready to register, you will complete the registration within My Y, our account membership and program registration tool.

Q: How do I register for a program?

All registrations will be completed in My Y, our account membership and program registration tool. The Y Guide links to My Y.

Q: What programs are found in the Y Guide?

Depending on timing in each season, and related program registration windows, you will be able to view Camp, Health and Fitness Children’s Programs, Licensed School Break and Outdoor Centre programs.

Q: Why do some programs have Membership Fees and Non-Member Fees?

If you are a member of YMCA Health and Fitness centres, some programs have reduced rates to account for this membership.

Q: Do I need a membership to sign up for programs?

No. A membership is not required to register for programs. Health and Fitness members do receive a reduced rate on some programs.

Q: Is bussing available for all programs?

No. Bussing is only available during the summer to some Day Camp locations.

Q: Why can I view the program, but cannot register for it?

Before registration opens, you are able to see what programs will be available for registration. This allows you to plan ahead and know what options will be available. The registration start dates are listed under each program.

Q: Why is my list of Favourites empty?

If you have recently cleared your computer’s cache, all programs saved to your Favourite Items list will be cleared.

Q: Are programs eligible for Canada-wide Early Learning and Child Care (CWELCC) fee reductions?

Yes. The only program fees that are eligible for the CWELCC 52.75% fee reduction are the Licensed School Break programs. To qualify, the registered child must be 6 years of age or younger. Camp and Health & Fitness Children’s Registered programs are not eligible for CWELCC fee reductions.

Q: What does ‘non-resident’ mean?

A ‘non-resident' is terminology used in our account membership and program registration tool, My Y. It identifies anyone who is not a current YMCA child care family, member of our health and fitness centres, a current participant of our children’s registered programs or a current participant of a camp program.

Government Child Care Subsidy

If you currently attend YMCA Child Care and receive Government Child Care Subsidy, please continue to register online. Your account will be adjusted to reflect this at billing. Continuing to register will secure your child’s space until the YMCA receives confirmation from your local municipality.

Children who receive Government Child Care Subsidy and are interested in attending day camp programming may register for any day camp program that does not include an overnight component. We encourage families to select a different program each week when registering for multiple weeks.

NOTE: Families using City of Toronto child care subsidy must start and end their day (AM and PM) at a licensed Extended Hours program for the weeks they are registered for camp.
Review our Subsidy Guidelines to learn more.

The YMCA reserves the right to amend your child’s registration to the approved municipal rate. If we are unable to receive confirmation of your assisted rate, your child’s registration will be adjusted to be charged the full program fee.

If your child does not currently attend a YMCA Child Care Program, but does receive Government Child Care Subsidy, you can contact us at 1-877-303-2267 or register@ymcagta.org. Registration must be received four (4) weeks prior to the requested program/session start date. Review our Subsidy Guidelines to learn more.
