If this is your first session, there will be a class placement night to determine which level your child should register for. Please register, and the Centre Lead will be in touch with you to arrange this. The Junior Lifeguard Club stresses fun and aquatic skill development based on personal-best achievement. Building on skills they already have, Junior Lifeguard Club members work to develop and improve swimming and other aquatic skills with emphasis on swimming skills, lifesaving skills, lifesaving knowledge, leadership and teamwork, community education, competition, and personal fitness Minimum swimming requirement is 50m of front crawl and tread water for one minute. Telegames entry fees are included in the registration fee

Located in the heart of the quickly growing Canary District, our newest Centre of Community is an 82,000 square foot, fully accessible facility. It features something for everyone, including two pools, an indoor track and gymnasium, weight room, cardio machines, green roof, kids’ play structure, cycling studio, functional fitness training space, and more. Camp programs are available in the summer from 9:00am – 4:00pm, extended hours are available on site from 7:30 - 9:00am and 4:00 - 6:00pm for an additional fee of $40/week.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:
Goggles are recommended for this class. A Junior Lifeguard Club swim cap will be provided to new participants in the first 2 weeks of the program. Participants should wear this for each class.
CANCELLATION POLICY AND MAKE UP CLASSES
Participants who withdraw from the course more than 7 days prior to the start of the course will receive a full refund. Participants who withdraw from the course less than 7 days prior to the start of the course will receive a refund less 50% of the course fee. No refunds will be granted once the course has started.
Make up classes will be offered if a class is cancelled by the YMCA. Make up classes are not offered if the child misses a class for personal reasons. Participants who are registered in the wrong level will be withdrawn.
